lyrics

By the River

Amongst Meadows And Faceless Deserts,
On Silt-Covered Rocks,
Under The Insomnia Of Blurred Mysteries,
Through The Breath Of Crystal Veins,
Near Summits Where Autumn Dwells,
Above The Rest Of Fishermen,
Beside The Fire Where Pilgrims Ask For Night Lodging,
One River Flows.
Time Roves Through That Perception,
Sometimes A Lull, Sometimes A Blizzard,
A Firebird Sings, Fish Splash,
There Are Two Banks On Either Side Of The River.
A Wolverine Wanders On One Side,
Tells Stories To The Northern Moss,
The Other Side Has Enoch Eucalyptus,
Who Keeps An Eye On Southern Snakes.
It Happened Once That Our Paths Met Along These Waters,
Trees Whispered And Revealed To Us,
Where To Wade Out Of The Deep.
All Visitors Get Three Beads Of Advice,
A Wise Tale Is Received.
A Handful Of Those Delights From The River's Depth
Was Offered To Us As Well.
When A Flying Merlin Revealed The Olden Mystery,
You Suddenly Put Out All Of Your Candles,
By Lighting Only Your Own Path.
Never Staying By Misfortune,
Grudging No Farewell Words,
You Always Wanted To Remain Amongst Oblivious Dreams.
But Once An Evening Fell,
Surrounded By The Acquainted Wings.
They Blew The Candles Out,
That Helplessly You Cherished.
Since Then Nobody Could Reach Your Vast Scale,
The Loneliness Mops And Mows,
Invites Only Fear Into Your Home.
But When The Moon Light Comes,
And Fishermen Appear In Your Dreams,
With Them You Try To Cast Your Nets Together
In To The Magic River.
